​Ths piece began with spring nights—walking home alone affer a movie, under trees in bloom. You can’t quite see the ffowers in the dark, but you know they’re there, blossoming vividly in the shadows like dreams, like fading images still lingering on your skin. I tried to capture those moments—those sensations—through color: green, blush, smoke—blurring, shiffing, soffly in motion.

Resting on a quiet, grounding stone, its wings are bamboo and Mashi paper, hand-painted with Chinese mineral pigments and ink, then sealed with shellac. Inspired by the form of a butterffy kite, it holds both air and weight, soffness and structure.
